IA, a multi-brand electric vehicle distributor, is introducing the new Chinese brand Skywell to the UK and is looking to partner with automotive retailers, including single-site and multi-franchise operators.

Delegates to the show, which is free of charge for dealers and OEMs who register in advance, will be able to explore the BE11, which is being positioned as a competitor to models like the Kia Sorento and Skoda Kodiaq.

IA has been designated as the official distributor for the Chinese Seres and Skywell car brands in the UK and Automotive Management Live is great timing as it ramps up sales of the BE11 and looks to partner with more retailers.

The Cirencester-based company already features the DFSK compact electric van in its lineup – DFSK is also part of the Seres Group – and is launching Skywell as well as Seres brands before the end of the year.

Skywell offers the BE11 with one electric powertrain and two battery options. The motor powers the front wheels and develops 204PS and 320Nm.

Performance is ample for a family SUV, with 0-62mph taking 9.6 seconds.

The larger 86kWh battery promises a range of 306 miles, while the smaller (72kWh) unit has a still formidable 248-mile range.

The battery supports rapid charging at up to 80kW and AC charging at 11kW, so recharges will take a bit longer than in rivals.

All versions of the BE11 are backed by a seven year/100,000 mile warranty.

The IA team will be on stand A10 at Automotive Management Live and will be joined by over 60 other exhibitors on the day.
