Revisiting Landmarks And Icons Of Mid-Century Modern Design

Our series focusing on mid-century modern design profiles the designers and architects responsible for one of the most enduring and influential design styles of the 20th and 21st centuries.

From the mid-1940s until the early 1970s, a collection of designers and architects including Charles and Ray Eames, Eero Saarinen, Arne Jacobsen, Florence Knoll and Verner Panton created designs that remain incredibly popular today.

Our guide explores the most iconic buildings and furniture of the design movement and how its legacy lives on.

This series was created in partnership with Made – a UK furniture retailer that aims to bring aspirational design at affordable prices, with a goal to make every home as original as the people inside it.
