AM100 contender TMS Motor Group is celebrating the grand opening of their brand-new, state-of-the-art Kia and Volvo Leicester showrooms following a multi-million-pound investment.
The Kia Leicester showroom now showcases the car maker’s ‘Kia Store’ concept, transforming the traditional dealership experience while the new Volvo showroom offers the brand’s signature Scandinavian style where visitors can relax in a luxurious lounge and enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi.
Aligned with Kia and Volvo’s commitment to sustainability, the new facilities feature over 200 solar panels and 30 EV charging stations, catering to both plug-in hybrid and fully electric vehicles.
Len Hallows, managing director at TMS Motor Group, commenting on the launch, said: “The doors are finally open, and we’re thrilled to begin this new chapter for TMS Motor Group, a family run business. We’re incredibly proud to support both brands’ sustainability goals with our carefully designed showrooms.
“This significant investment underscores our commitment to creating a relaxed and comfortable environment for our customers. It’s a real pleasure to welcome both loyal and new guests to our new home to explore all their motoring needs.”
TMS recently took over Loughborough Kia, which had been owned by the Johnson family since the Kia franchise was taken on in 2003 by company founder Clifford Johnson.
The recent phase of expansion has led TMS, owned by managing director Len Hallows and run by his sons, to now have three Kia dealerships at Leicester, Hinckley and Loughborough plus three Volvo dealerships at Leicester, Hinckley and Coventry.
It leaves the group knocking on the door of the AM100 as it gains scale and nears the turnover threshold to feature in the UK’s 100 biggest franchised dealer groups.
