Hello, everyone! Happy Wednesday!
The allergies are currenting lying dormant. Let’s keep our fingers and toes crossed that it stays that way. Also some big things! Bridal dress shopping (my top pick to hopefully try on). End of the year vacation!
We’ll be going to the most magical place on Earth. To be honest, I feel a little silly being so excited to go to WDW around the holidays but there are a few reasons why I feel repeatedly drawn to Disney. We weren’t a Disney family growing up in Florida; my parents felt Disney wasn’t for them and they opted for Universal passes. Universal was also more affordable for us. But now I’m an adult and I get to partake in things I wished I could have done! My partner and I don’t have children yet and we’re able to use our discretionary income for things like this. I also look forward to being able to take my kids, if/when we have them.
Secondly, I have a strained relationship with the end of the year holiday stretch, but there’s something about Christmas lights and music that I really love. Disney also does an amazing job of theming and immersion, and I just want to honestly let myself be carried away by their fake snow and twinkling lights.
Anyway, thanks for coming to my TED talk.

From Alysa: I just wanted to make aware of the nonprofit organization that has petitions on the website to sign and share about the issues including US libraries today including the latest petition regarding the release of federal budget that will eliminate federal funding for libraries and museums (including Libby) despite this issue currently being in the US court system.
