Staff from across Toyota GB are fundraising again for the campaign to battle motor neurone disease and this weekend its senior leadership team are tackling the Directors’ Challenge.
The onerous task for the leaders, which include Toyota GB president and managing director Scott Thompson, Lexus director Chris Hayes, ConsumerOne director Paula Cooper, customer services director Rob McKendrick, Toyota Insurance Services chief executive Jason Milton, and more, is to trek the Thames Path Challenge.
In doing the 100km hike, from Putney Bridge in London to Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire on September 14-15 they want to raise more than £100,000 in sponsorship and donations for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Toyota GB’s workforce has raised thousands of pounds for the MND Association in recent years.
In 2022 they tragically lost Toyota GB colleague Rachel Rollason to the awful, life-limiting disease.
Rollason had held posts at Toyota including Lexus brand marketing manager, senior manager of customer and network support, and latterly senior manager of social media.
In 2019 she was identified as an inspiring automotive woman by the Automotive 30% Club for her passion and devotion to her work and team while also achieving quality family time with her sons.
Stuart Sanders, Toyota GB’s communications and product director, who is among those taking the challenge, said: “Motor neurone disease is a fatal, rapidly progressing neurological disease that remains incurable. The impact it has on the lives of those affected can be devastating – something I have sadly seen first-hand with a colleague at Toyota (GB).
“The Thames Path Challenge is my way of showing support to the fantastic work MNDA do in driving awareness, research and supporting families, and I hope you can add your support with a sponsorship donation.”
